Thoughts on my two mountain park that has a river running between them? This is just the base secnario, three coasters (wooden by the entrance, a friction coaster, and a stand up coaster that uses the mountain cliff for speed)

Don't feel too bad, anon. I do the same thing. As fun as it would be to blow all your money on a shitload of intricately designed roller coasters, the fact is that they are designed to be big ticket items that are used sparingly, while the gentler rides are more cost-efficient ways to keep visitors at the park longer, thereby spending more on food and souvenirs.
Learning about the minmax coaster and how decoration doesn't matter you can just spam the same cheapass tree that only takes up 1/4 of a square ruined the game for me. I just wanted to finally get past the intermediate scenarios because I was and still am clinically retarded. At least it's not as bad as ZT which has actual cheats, but still.

For me it was at my friend's house in his computer room. Thinking back, that was one of the comfiest rooms in my childhood. I played a lot of SNES and N64 when I was even younger, but that's where I really got introduced to PC gaming. RCT, Starcraft, Diablo. Never seen shit like that before. Also a ton of Newgrounds videos.

That will show you not to ignore the coaster I spent a half hour designing while putting my park in the red.

Yeah but making building in RTC is like prying fingernails off with your teeth so it's a very mountainy learn about the wilderness as you ride park.
>OpenRCT2 wants to know the filepatch to my RCT install >give it my Steam installation >says it can't find g1.dat or whatever >it's now in an infinite loop of not letting me close the program
Wonderful.

I should make a few to better understand design and track layering, but in my heart I'm a gigacoaster that takes advantage of the natural landscape guy.

I mean, you can only get like 4 people on each round, so. I guess it's just that people prefer the big ones. Maybe that's even the purpsoe of it, like "Let's see if this cue has shrunk after we do Wild Mouse once"? idk.

i try not to minmax but it's HARD >>717894386
truth. i don't think roller coaster tycoon prepared me for how weird those people are, because EVERYONE played RCT
I can explain park fanatics. It's autism. For some of us it's an amazing vestibular system stimulation, feeling gravity vs force. Its a deep sensory process they get addicted to. I sometimes go to my park and swing on the swings to stimulate that sensation.
"but isn't that the same reason nurotyps like rides"
yes, but not to our extent. It can feel like drug level euphoria.
>>717894386
It really is strange
I looked up the only theme park I ever went to for nostalgia's sake a while ago and there were people fuming in the comments about how a coaster's "sequel" doesn't have you go over the water for a microsecond like the original one amongst other things
>>717900658
I think parkitect is better. Planet Coaster has more fidelity but the scale if annoying and it feel like it takes awhile to do anything. If you want super nice visuals its probably better. The cartoony trees in parkitect are annoying
>>717883817
yes, you're a pussy
I will sell the goddamn pavement and leave dozens of famlies stranded to finish THE ANAL GAPER, the 5th corkscrew coaster of the park
>>717884390
Man, this game is fucking easy to begin with, you really don't need to minmax anything to win any scenario, you fon't have to cheese shit, just make nice looking stuff and you will be more than fine even on the harder maps
>>717878253 (OP) >Rode The Rattler, the tallest and fastest wooden coaster in the world back when it opened >all the older people are clutching their necks and and backs afterwards >Even hurt me despite being 15 or so >They close it down and make it steel instead
Well the name wasn't joking.
