I've actually been playing on their Conquest of Azeroth beta server, and the 3 classes I've played so far feel incredibly unique and fun to play. my favorite so far is the cultist, which builds up a new resource called insanity that you need for other spells, but if it reaches 100% filled you lose control of your character for 8 seconds. plus, it looks like CoA doesn't have any gacha emchant systems in it, so thats a plus

Ascension's a bunch of custom private servers owned by a bunch of Russians. There's not really much information about it but their servers are generally really high quality (although I really dislike the direction Ascension servers usually go in and how they're managed, they treat WoW more like a seasonal game with currencies and resets and stupid shit akin to a MOBA or live-service game).
They kind of run a business empire in the WoW private server scene, really fucking invasive P2W cash-shop, lots of money flowing through their servers, they hire a bunch of guys. They even paid for advertisements on youtube and have literal Youtube shills with tens of thousands of subscribers (who disclose they're paid by ascension), but still.

They've always come across as probably scummy behind the scenes but there hasn't really been drama with them as far as I know.

Any guesses for the next Classic+ Season?

That's not what I was asking, there's been private servers in the past where the servers were hosted in Russia but the creators of the server actually lived in Germany, America, France, etc.
But this modern trend of mega private servers (5K+ online pop at all times) are all created/owned by Russians.
Ascension seeming to have their hands in almost everything, as well as Torta/Shenna creating a bunch of other servers before Turtle, and Warmane having a monopoly on Wrath, and nearly every big WoW private server having a cash shop

What Classicfags don't realize is that they don't want "harder" content, they want more substantial meaningful content. Lucifron being "just decurse lol" turning into "LoS the curse, kite the adds in a loop, dodge the swirlies, do a backflip to taunt, drink a Shadow Prot potion to block the Shadowbolt, and kill a pack of corehounds during the fight" does not make him ""harder"", just more tedious to complete and prepare for every week.
