Nothing. Dev just types random words. That's why everyone knows him for exactly one game, because the random words were arranged in a way that made people think too much into it. There is ultimately as much meaning as asking an AI to write it.

Not him but I played through it for the first time a bit ago and I do not understand the hype it got at all. Yeah it gives you a fair bit of creative freedom but it plays like shit and seems to just be gimmicky memes fodder to hold your attention like "lmao gotta make stonks :D".
It felt like the design was all over the place and sometimes just obtuse for no real benefit.

Honestly I'd do the same too if I was making games as a little hobby, and the game blown over out of proportion like Cruelty Squad.
Setting right price for maximum profit is nice, but if you're doing it for fun, and if that leads to faggot tubers bringing in autistic fans, on top of seething retards who are constantly sending angry letters for being successful (like some people in this thread), it's probably not worth it.

Going through suffering, death and a sort of rebirth made you question if the supernatural exists and you cannot see the world in the same way anymore. You have closed off a "route" of thought which is represented by areas being closed off.

It's also a mechanic to increase replay value and possibly just a thought the dev felt compelled to add without intention to actually communicate anything, really.
