Roblox has never made a single dollar of profit, and they remain cash rich and can pay their shareholders because of accounting black magic and by paying a lot of salaries and compensations in stock.
It can't remain sustainable forever, and they are rightfully spooked about anyone rocking the boat, Roblox has been able to fly under the radar of usual "PROTECT THE CHILDREN" people confusingly well thus far and one outspoken US politician catching a whiff of Roblox's grooming problems and making it into a morale panic might bring economical annihilation.

I think the big factor is that there is a lot of pseudolegal bullshit going on in TikTok and other social medias, and a lot of teens just instantly believe it when it is said by someone with confidence.
As one example, it feels like a lot of people are treating swapping price tags in stores as a "shopping hack" instead of theft, and don't think they can be charged with shoplifting even if they get caught because some charismatic dude in TikTok said that it just isn't the same thing bro, trust me bro.
