The writers aren't very imaginative. They have basic fetishes and only write within that. Minthara is basically Invader Zim evil, talking about killing children for small slights. They write Wyll gay as hell because none of them are actually turned on by black people. Karlach is actually a decent person so they really don't know how to write her romance line without it being she's a horny top. Her ending is you rejecting half her story. Halsin is just there because his writer is a bisexual freak who wants to fuck bears too and they couldn't even do that right and made it more a gimmick.

The Durge route was the original story for the game because once again, somehow we must focus on bhaalspawn again. It wasn't some charitable passion of the writers to give us an evil route. They couldn't write anything else except what's been written before.
