Is there a single person on earth who is actually bothered by ingame insects? I have arachnophobia and I've never been bothered by spiders in movies or games

If i was a dev i would include an "arachnophobia" mode that turns all the enemies into spiders so the user can conquer her fear

What the fuck is the problem with a video game enemy, one that is a horror icon no less, being scary
It's not like a spider raped you as a kid

can confirm, "giant enemy spiders" especially are more funny than anything since they almost always have comically bad walk cycles. i think for a vidya spider to trigger the phobia they have to be pretty realistic both in size and movement.

Everyone, and I mean literally everyone, at my work has self-diagnosed "autism" even though they are completely functioning people who are better adjusted to society than even me.

I understand being afraid of spiders, not so much being afraid of fake spiders to the point you need a mode removing them from the game. Seems like something to work on.

I was looking at youtube and saw some video that was like "Signs you might be an undiagnosed adult with autism!" and I watched it to see if it was some kind of scientific breakdown.
Instead it was a bunch of bullshit like:
>Sometimes feeling inexplicably tired, especially after long social interactions
>Sometimes feeling sad or melancholic without a clear reason
>Sometimes not wanting to try new food or stick to a few favorites
Things that apply to basically every human. The comment section was filled with "Omg I'm a 51 year old woman and I always felt like something about me was different... now I know why..."
People fetishize this shit.

I've definitely skipped a few sections of videogames before because of my arachnophobia
The Skyrim ones are kinda comical with their animations, but their hairy texture was gross enough I modded them out as soon as I could (back in 2015 or whatever)
The Fromsoft games I played have a good assortment of creepy fucking little shits, but you can usually run like a madman and skip them
Very recently I stopped playing Hogwarts Legacy because of that super cramped spider cave, miss me with that shit

I am really scared of bugs IRL thanks to being bit by a spider when I was a kid and having to be rushed to the hospital (it was a brown recluse). Even now something as benign as a cockroach makes me tense up and kind of freeze in place or wanna run away from it.
I've never had any serious issues with bugs in games. I might feel a bit of anxiety but it just manifests itself as me wanting to fucking kill it, light it on fire, zap it with lightning, smash it, etc.
