That one should be played subbed, probably.
The dub can be funny but many of the serious moments are butchered by awkward deliveries. I think it has something to do with lack of voice direction.

People who tell you to play E33 in English say it because it's a week made dub. However, if they tell you you HAVE TO use English over french, because lipsync and blah blah blah, then they're also fucking retarded and shouldn't be listened to. E33 is a rare game were both language voice overs are good.

About XC2: play it with Jap audio and definitely get the retranslation mod. Not the one from gamebanana, though, as it is massively iut if date.

This game came out when trannylators were completely unchecked and made amazingly retarded "localization" changes. Pretty much every character and location name was changed, so there will be a huge gap between what characters are saying and what the text is telling you.

Xenoblade games have a lot more charm to them when played in English. 2’s dub is the weakest but you’ll be glad you stuck with it when you play 3.
