Unironically, you have many reasons to. They release trash that is quickly identifiable (Forspoken, Various Daylife) and stuff of questionable quality (FFXVI, DioField Chronicles), but they also release modern masterpieces.

I decided a while ago not to pirate their games. Squeenix sucks a lot compared to the Squaresoft mastermind we saw on the psx and ps2, but they still make some games worth playing and they pump out new ip's and experiments constantly. They're not great, but way better than their contemporaries, and it would honestly suck if they did go bankrupt.

Asano can only make shallow facsimiles of older games made by other people, he doesn't have a shred of originality or ambition in him, I gave him a fair amount of chances but after Octopath 2 he lost me entirely.
I'll give him that he doesn't take a millennia to make a single game though, that much is true.

Octopath games are just... okay. Nothing special at the end of the day.
Team Asano should stick to remastering old JRPGs in HD2D, Live A Live was perfect and there are many great SNES era Square/Enix JRPGs to pull from
