>very nature of AI, in that it's antithecal to creativity and noxious to the most creative people
This is a cope. You vastly overestimate how much people will care about "muh human creativity" aka artists making money and not losing their jobs.
Nobody cared about the seamstresses, coal miners, railroad workers, typists, cashiers, factory workers, even though they all said the same thing as you. Won't care about reddit artists either.
This happens every time there is a major new technology. Some will bitch for a while that they will only buy from humans, but most will quickly realize it is easier and a lot less bullshit to deal with especially considering what snobby assholes most of the artist types are.
The complainers will shrink until it is too small a group for any companies to give a shit about. Just like the people who complain about smartphones, privacy, credit cards, etc.
Only difference here is that "the future" isn't on Reddit's side this time so they are getting to be the ones seething and wanting to go back for a change. They will quickly realize how powerless their protesting suddenly is when they are opposite corporate and government interests.
