Mara was a decent continuation of the Wild Gods storyline that was woven throughout the NE/Tauren content, and SM is a great capstone to the Undead experience.
But yeah, there's nothing like the Human/Defias quest chain elsewhere in the game, which is a big shame.

His gripe started out reasonable and fair but then the execution of the methods strayed into psychotic villain territory. He attacked and targeted innocent people and caused a lot of deaths for people completely uninvolved in the situation. Working with gnolls (who literally eat people) is enough of a problem.
It's basically a case of the nobles being faggots so the Defias attack poor farmers, militiamen, priests, settlers, and everybody but the nobles.

Given how much investigating the player has to do to figure out what the fuck the Defias even want, I'm pretty sure they're not going around espousing their ideals to recruit people. The random farmers they're buttfucking probably didn't even know about the problem and weren't told before getting buttfucked. Which I think is intentional. It's supposed to be clear that the whole Defias thing got drastically out of hand and just became a senseless, violent crusade against anything.
