People say picrel looks like a total slog and kill the game BUT actually:
>it's just a simple damage multiplier
>not mandatory with most mobs
>when on a rush you can go straight to the green square (less than 1s) for the basic vulnerability effect and move on
>full combo if really needed takes at most 3-4s to complete for a HUGE payoff
>once muscle memory kicks in and you lock-in that number will go down even harder
See everything that's been shown so far. There is no problem here. Most early reviewers have already said it's fine as it is. The only way this may become a hindrance is if later on into the game the puzzle's size and complexity increases dramatically out of nowhere for no reason but there is zero evidence that that will be the route they will go in. A simple and fun check on your multitasking and reaction skills that you have to do constantly while in combat is all there is to this and the goal. It will be fine.
