I think the last games that made me feel so hyped at the end were SMT4A and Fatal Frame 4 (more like a huge sense of finality for that one though). It sure is far between you get insane final acts like that.

I'm on the fence, Bananza is definitely my GOTY, but Odyssey is one of the best games I've ever played, I think I'm going to have to go back and play both games when some time has passed to truly have an objective opinion on both

Bananzas are way too OP for how frequently you get them, you have to try really hard to not get enough gold during it to not have built the meter enough to instantly be able to use it again, which means you can effectively have them up the entire game. There's no reason to play as base DK.

Probably just a consequence of the Bananza meter existing at all, which is why there are respawning melons here and there to make certain areas less tedious and annoying.
