They wouldn't. Damage would be entirely dependent on the cartridge used. Now you could have various "effective ranges" based on the gun's barrel length, but the max damage would be the same for all guns using the same caliber (and even then the falloff "damage" outside of the effective range would probably be negligible for 99% of engagements players would be in).

the scar was the shit in mw2. less mag size and rof than other rifles, but it had such a great iron sight and power. and you could just slap on the extended mags anyway so the mag size wasn't really a problem.
