It is actually insane to me that they released the game in the state they did where they somehow overlooked night vision in a series that is constantly fucking DARK and hard to see in many of its locations. /v/ I am not joking when I say my first and only playthrough of this game was forever ruined because it was such an underwhelming, rushed, terrible game in so many ways.

If binoculars and night vision are still not in the game, then save your first playthrough for 2030 when they maybe get their fucking shit together and add them in. Optimization was one thing, but so many gameplay mechanics being either missing or just completely broken made it fucking terrible. Don't play it. When you think you're finally ready to play it and it's all patched, don't play it. Wait for another patch. And when that patch comes out, wait for another one because this game will never fucking be done.

Not to be nitpicky but Days Gone is a bad example. It was designed to be a PS4 exclusive and remained that way more than 2 years after it's release when we got a PC port. Sony working together with Nixxes then quickly acquiring them probably played a major part in this. Almost 4 years later a remaster was announced as a PS5 exclusive, except the extra game modes will also be available on PC as a DLC (Broken Road). So to rephrase what happened: we got the GOTY ported to PC, then since Sony can't sell the exact same shit to PS5 it got a facelift and some extra content that's not available for PS4 players.
