Better yet, why is every modpack just overcomplicating shit instead of broadening the game? I want Minecraft with more cool Adventure exploration questing and base building, not Minecraft con gasolina

Bigger and better.
Better combat, more animated, add quests maybe, add space and space ships and other planets.

dude, there are countless mods. just pick the ones you want. what are you even saying here? it's not like you're forced to pick a modpack with 1000 additions to it. you can get a mod that just adds better biomes, seamless realm portals, or w/e.

Also:
Give it modular packs of mechanics to make your own custom worlds, without the requirement of all kinds of mods. Turning off hunger should be a 1 click process, you can set ages and advancements and themes. At current on official minecraft it's primarily just texturepacks and skins. Minecraft should be a workable platform like Roblox sans jewishness

None of you have any idea how game dev works or even what would make a better game. Not to defend Mojang's abysmal pace, but what you're asking for is star citizen tier delusional scope.

ksp2 was fucked by shit devs that rugpulled, it has nothing to do with scope. the harsh reality is most people don't know how to implement good software architecture and the design patterns needed to ensure feature creep doesn't implode the project.

Ksp2 devs decided to use the originals codebase and inherited all its technical debt.
You either have to continue using the old code (why not just update the original at that point) or build a new better engine which means time and money. Starting from scratch just doesn't happen in modern game development.

Payday3
Killing floor 3
Two more recent examples of making a product that couldn't compete with the older versions with more content.

It's not "schrodinger", I just can't read your mind to know what the fuck you could possibly mean by minecraft not being modular enough.

I have done that you nigger.
I'm on 1.20.1 and finally have a stable modpack but now every time I try to use a chunk pre-generator or go to load new chunks the game freezes and stops responding.
some people say its because of xaeros world map and others say you just have to check every mod one by one.
this shit is pissing me off.
before this I had to systematically test every version of every mod to make sure they were all compatible with an older version of create since the newest release bricks my modpack due to an incompatibility.
so no, unless your mod list is small, you can't just grab all the mods you actually want and have it work every time.

Well if the current update schedule of 1 mob per year reflects Mojang's development ability we should see a complete game sometime in the year 3000
