Just finished the 2D Metroid trilogy (Zero Mission, Fusion, Super).

Why the fuck was this fight so hard? Nothing else in the three games was more than like a 2/10 difficulty and then there's just this random spike out of nowhere that's like 50x harder than anything else in any of the games.

Someone post the webm of a girl gamer beating this easily (while being slightly annoyed at how easy it is and absolutely not using any modern emulator tech)

It's hard if you just focus on the brain, and if you try to stay in the same platform the whole time

It's the hardest fight out of Fusion, Zero Mission, and Super by a fucking mile. You have two tiny platforms to stand on that you have to constantly bounce between, two turrets shooting at you constantly, the brain is constantly spamming projectiles you must jump over while also avoiding the massive turret bullets, and getting hit even once knocks you back into the lava which is like quicksand that just keeps sucking you down as you try to jump out (oftentimes jumping straight into another bullet and falling back down), plus the brain has an absurd amount of health.

>bro just constantly freeze the nonstop spawning Os while also avoiding all the brain projectiles
>it's simple really!
I mean obviously I did it, I'm just saying it's like 50x harder than anything else in any of the games, especially considering everything up to that point (and after) is a total pushover.

Is that without backtracking or is there a specific list of items?

if you see something and don't need it, don't pick it up.
i can't remember what the min % is, but the game has passageways specifically included to let players challenge themselves this way
