We never got giftpia because Reggie thought it was too weird and wouldn't sell, even though they went as far as to make an English build of it for e3, then Tanabe fucked them over by hijacking zipline and making it into a platformer

Skip devs got fucked over so bad, they ended up just making a new company just so they could make the games they want to make without getting screwed by corporate overlords for once

Reggie also said Stary was "too Japanese" to localize, and there was also how Disaster Day of Crisis was never brought to NA despite being fully localized, FE Radiant Dawn released a week before Mario Galaxy in the west, and Project Rainfall literally needed to exist to get Xenoblade despite it being shown off at E3

I liked it but I wasn't crazy about how it made the entire game about cleaning and shopping, very effeminate. The first game was essentially a point-and-click adventure psuedo-platformer where the "cleaning" was a purely optional way to get money.

In general, the Switch 2 has been a pretty slick experience in that regard. Even the eShop now has seamless video-playback when you hold the cursor over games, and it does make me check out more stuff than I normally do.

Chibi-robo was such a vibe, man.
You're just a little robot man running around some small family's house cleaning stuff up. No stakes, no stress, just chill cleaning up and getting into some hijinks while you're doing it.

Dropping stuff over time rather than all at once generates more interest in the long run.
For example, if tomorrow they dropped Smash 64 and some random small game nobody has heard of, everyone would just play Smash 64.
If the memegame is the "month"'s game, people are more likely to try it out since it isn't being instantly overshadowed by something else.

I wonder when they'll release the Gamecube Mario Partys. I worry they might wait a bit since they're really trying to push this Jamboree Switch 2 Edition
It does upset me though that the N64 ones are broken and the button mappings don't work if you use a gamecube controller. Mario Party 2 worked just fine on the Wii Virtual Console so I don't know what happened there.

Consistent dripfeed is preferable to just Netflix style binge formats where they just drop everything at once. The former allows games that normally wouldn't get a spotlight to have a chance to shine, while the latter does nothing but dissuade people from trying 90 percent of the content provided.

Note how I said CONSISTENT dripfeed, though. Switch 1 Era NSO was absolutely was not that, and was one of the biggest issues with the service.

There's plenty more, but mostly minor third party stuff that most would probably consider filler, but there's definitely a surprising amount of games we got that Japan didn't.

Turok 1 and 2 were also exclusive to us for a while, but Japan's NSO actually got them added sometime later, which is the first time those games ever got released there. (They're still in English though, so same shit we get when they throw a Japan only game on ours without any translation)

>...Fuck memes aside, Reggie really was fucking awful.
I told you niggers for years he was a worthless spiteful antiwhite spic.
All he wanted was to rob fame off Miyamoto and Iwata to build himself up.
Fucker did NOTHING to form Nintendo as a brand or company yet had the gall to always push himself as important or vital. All while debying NoA region games, collector editions, further knee capping amiibo releases, infesting NoA with antiwhite shit huffers, etc.
Utter scum.
