Because games are coded poorly and are not meant to memory leak for 256GB of ram, what you are speaking of is called a ramdisk where you section off a block of ram to use as a disk, then you can load the game right into ram, and load it into ram from ram for absurd load times. The problem obviously is that ram is volatile and loses all of it's data when losing power so you'd have to move the game every time (or set up a script to do it for you)

Making software with pointlessly high resource allocating. Making operating systems with pointlessly high minimum requirements. Making ONE4ALL drivers on minial devices like keyboards, speakers, and your mouse, with ONE4ALL being bundling every driver for every device into one install+service. Language packs? You get them all.
Anything to get people purchasing parts. Anything to make the illusion of demand.

Unless you're playing games that were purposefully infected with malware that locks them to Windows 11, it isn't that hard to make the switch to a GNU/Linux based OS.

The main things to keep in mind are AMD actually has functioning drivers for Linux, Vulkan performance and conformance is all important for gaming on Linux, and Nvidia hardware has not been as good at Vulkan until recently, and their driver support is still lagging.

I always hear Nvidia has awful Linux support but I've not seen it in my use. Many many years ago I guess the Nvidia Server Settings program couldn't remember to force full composition pipeline or keep the higher refresh rate I'd set but I've never had any actually fatal errors with it. I could believe that bit about Vulkan support but I don't play a wide enough variety in games to vouch for it one way or the other.

Nvidia used to have the best drivers for Linux gaming with OpenGL 10+ years ago.

What changed is AMD published documentation, Valve started investing in a third-party created Vulkan driver called RadV, and just everything on Linux switched to Vulkan. The Nvidia driver hasn't really gotten worse, but it has basically stayed the same while AMD got a Linux exclusive high performance driver focused on the specific features needed by DXVK and VKD3D.
Also doesn't hurt that the RadeonSI OpenGL driver caught up to Nvidia, but OpenGL is a lot less important for gaming than it used to be.

All of this makes total sense when you realize video game requirements matches the specs of computers 10 year in the future, not the current present ones. That's how it was like in the 2010s at least with crazy demanding games no one could run smoothly. Devs do this intentionally for some reason because post ps3 gen devs universally hated optimizing or sacrificing graphics with very rare exceptions.
