I'm loving the Switch 2
Idk, it just feels fucking nice. Idk what else to say.
I have so many games I'm actively playing now, that DK Bananza is falling out of my home screen already.

Makes the switch 1 feels like a prototype. The finish is very nice

Anyone know any good 2k monitors to use for it?

Not him, but the updates for DQ3 and Romancing Saga 2 are already really impressive for how cheap you can get those games, and the new Fantasy Life was pretty fun for a bit. Beyond those, I've just been using it to catch up on games I missed over the last three years, Unicorn Overlord, 13 Sentinels, Fate Stay Night, Metroid Prime, etc.

Is the Bravely Default remaster worth grabbing or should i wait for the PC port so people can properly upscale the backgrounds + other miscellaneous mods like the removal of censorship if that's still in this version

ill be sticking to my switch lite at least until they make a switch 2 lite
its just too damn big and the library will be much more worth it by then anyway with better third party support and sales

Freak. I hope they never release a lite version.

A smaller screen at 120hz sounds solid anon

even the base switch in a case is big enough to be annoying to pack in a backpack and the switch 2 is significantly bigger than that

why is the screen even 120hz when even mario 3d world (a port of a wii u game from 2013) still runs at 60

Another anon too, but I'm currently playing Shine Post and it's a pretty good idol management game from Konami. You have to manage both your company business and the idols in your charge for several years (you start with one team, then get another one the next year), while making sure you aren't in the red or your idols start breaking down mentally from the pressure and anxiety.

I also play pretty much every port and multiplat under the sun there. No need to bother with another platform with the amount of games already available here.

The magnetism is actually such a nice improvement. I prefer using Joycons over a Pro Controller because some games have a few extra motion sensor things, and now there's the Mouse Mode too, so I often have to put it back while the console is docked, and it has to stand behind my TV because the table isn't very wide. Before I would have to lean over, and try to "hit" the point where it slides in, but now I can just lazily put them towards it and it snaps in immediately.
I've already played 100s of hours across multiple games on it since I got it on launch and so far the joycons don't feel like they're getting looser like they did on Switch. I found after a long use, they kinda became less tight-feeling on the console.

Just a really premium feeling so far, and some ports are really impressive to me. Shadow Generations I played on PS5 originally, on the same TV, and while it's definitely not as pretty now, it still looks like a current-gen graphics setting, and it feels stable as well.

I'm still weirded out they're not using DLSS in games though. I wonder why. Every game that has it on PC doesn't seem like it had any issue implementing both FSR and DLSS. I don't understand what's holding developers back from it?

That sucks bro. It is pretty expensive, ngl. I was just lucky to have some savings when it came out. I shouldn't actually have used them on a new game console but whatever.

Launch version + low firmware = best piracy chance.
