i liked the non card game stuff in the manga better

lotd is just a tcg/ocg simulator so theyh all have their printed effects and are thus worthless. the campaign mode has you recreate duels from the shows using those character's decks, and every story mission has a reverse mode where you have to play as the opponent. this makes the really easy story missions nearly impossible in reverse duel mode, e.g. the first jaden vs. alexis duel i have never beaten as alexis, her deck is just way too weak

Yeah, all the cards have their then-current printed effects and any erratas. But on the other hand while the game has a ban list, you can just ignore it in the single player mode. Which of course means that Yugi can just drop three Swords of Revealing Light on you in a row and you can't do a damn thing while he builds an unbreakable board.

So you just make a Dark World deck with three Card Destructions and Graceful Charities and shove it up his ass.
