no, I'm a hardcore gamer and I play obscure survival horror that you've literally never heard of. Maps and quest markers are for retards.

In this one you get a compass. and characters will occassionally tell you stuff like: "go west". I strongly suspect the game contains hidden locations but it is so dangerous that it is difficult enough to locate the plot locations, let alone whatever secrets are out there. I'm also pretty sure you could actually just go to the final boss battle right from the start, if you knew the directions to go.
