1+2 is a straight upgrade because the original games have dogshit framerate and really benefit from the addition of manuals and reverts
3+4 is a much more debatable case, 3's fine but doesn't really offer much to make it worth playing over the original unless you just really can't handle PS2-era graphics. 4's an upgrade but that's entirely because they removed the retarded structure of that game and made it more like the originals. That said, while that's a change that 4 greatly benefits from, the later games actually put its structure to good use and fleshed things out a bit with an actual story mode, so you can't just keep doing that with any other potential remakes (that let's be frank aren't happening, 3+4 is clearly old scrapped 1+2 DLC that was polished up for a full release years after the fact)

I was under the impression Iron Galaxy was based. I mostly remember them from taking over Killer Instinct from Double Helix and putting out banger season updates. It's really hard for a dev to fill in for another one for a game they didn't have any experience with and a fighting game at that.

I played every single Tony Hawk game growing up as they released from THPS1 to Project 8. I even went back and realized that a lot of the series is crap, there's a lot of glaring flaws in the design that led to the games painting themselves into a corner. And yet even if I know that THAW is basically kusoge I would still play it any day of the week over this new skinwalker shit.
