The games are still great despite what /v/ shitposts. Name a MMORPG better than WoW. Depending on taste there's OSRS and that's it. Nothing else comes close. WoW's engine from decades ago is still better than the engine of MMOs released today.

wow is fine when you pretend the story doesn't exist. it's certainly been better in the past but coming from a xiv break after 5 years of playing xiv since I quit in legion - went in and busted mythic gally, had some FREE drama and self fulfillment and basically got what I paid for in the 4 or so months I played the season on and off of. i had a fun lesson on the types of creatures that exist in raiding environments and the sort of slimy retarded shit they'll do if you aren't a perfect god gamer at all conceivable times

it's not a great bar but it's something. korean mmos always have great gameplay but it comes with the monkey paw curl of being insanely jewish and time void adjacent
