Do you guys actually replay single player games? I cant think of any. Mostly because im satisfied with most singular experiences and then also because my backlog is too huge and i have to burn through more games. There are some i would probably replay, but mostly short, older games.

I literally cannot fathom people playing Dark Souls or Resident Evil for the 5th time. Truly autistic behavior.

I enjoy most genres of games so there's way too many to play for me to want to spend time replaying.

Yes.
Im currently replaying the JP ver of Onimusha Dawn Of Dreams after not playing it for 5 years. Now i'm playing hard mode.

Games like the OG Resident Evil 4, DMC 3, Godhand, other 3D action games and all arcade games are endlessly replayable.

Do people actually keep track of a backlog and plan out the games theyre playing? Seems like a chore not a hobby

Yeah, all the time. I replayed all the megaman X games not too long ago, the campaign on Mechwarrior 4 I've played upwards to 10 times, I'll replay the Okami remaster soon, Hitman games are very replayable, was replaying the entire armored core series but stopped at Nexus.

Half-Life and the expansions once a year. I love it. What do you want from me, to play modern AAA garbage because it bothers you that I like older games?

Surprisingly often.
If they aren't worth replaying they aren't all that good.
As an example, over the last 2 years I replayed Titanfall 2 at least 3 times, same with Space Marine 1 and 2.

I have replayed mega man 2 and X1 over 200 times. I also like to 1cc arcade games, in particular I've probably played dd som and avp over a hundred times, and then there's a slew of shmups, also nuclear throne and spelunky 2. Also strategy games like Shadow Empire I've replayed many, many times. Many of these are replayable by nature.

There is no good game that is not enjoyable on an IMMEDIATE replay, there is not a single 10/10 game that is not replayable.

Occasionally. Replayed Unreal Tournament two months ago and it was a fun time. More commonly, if I find a new game with replay value, I tend to play until I wear it out.
>muh backlog
The backlog isn't there to worry about it, I'm in no hurry to clear it. Actually, it's nice to have a pile of stuff to look forward to, and I pity anons who played the crap out of everything they wanted and have no more games.

It really is, I have 3500 hours in skyrim and I still want to play it. I have that special kind of autism which makes me enjoy shit for far longer than I should.

Do you guys actually replay great singleplayer games like OoT, HL2, Portal, FF6, Mirrors Edge, Me1 +2, Kotor, Republic Commando, Thief 1 +2, ToME, Homeworld, AoE2, Doom '16, and like 100 other great games from the past 30 years?

That's just ridiculous when modern new gems like Avowed, RDR2, We must be better men, Asscreed 16, Cod 46, not fifa 107, Saarfield, Spidermovies 1 + 2, BF 2042, at least 5 different extraction fps failures, Cyberpatched 2077 times, Doom the bad one, and everyone's favorite Bust the Crust Part 2 [remastered].

With only Elden Ring and BG3 what else am I supposed to fill the past 5 years with? Remember to buy current product and get excited for next product anons.

If you had listed a single JRPG in the first paragraph, I'd recommend Expedition 33 to you. It was really good.

E33 is a shitty movie for people who think final fantasy is good. I refunded it after an hour and a half. You can't take people who praise shit like that seriously, they have brain damage. And it's definitely not something anyone would ever replay.
Anonymous No.717998836
Well i did replay shit ton of Cod 2 when i was younger and recently i replayed Dishonored 1 and 2 and Warcraft 3 (i finally tried hard mode and got filtered)

I replay CRPGs after a few years. Good ones have plenty of classes, branching paths, different companions. There's a lot of variety to the point a replay can be very, very different from your first experience.

>There's a lot of variety to the point a replay can be very, very different from your first experience.
There is not a single CRPG where this is true except BG3 and *maybe* Temple of Elemental Evil. People pretend like slightly branching dialogue paths in pst is mind blowing.

Yeah, I've replayed Arkham Knight, Origins, Dying Light, Sleeping Dogs, MegaMan x4, x8 and Patapon 3 a lot, probably my most played games.

How can you replay mega man x4 when it's the easiest and most autopilot-y X game? Even X7 requires more attention.

So? How does that reduce it's replayability? It's got two characters, very short campaign, I usually play Zero until the general boss fight, then I switch to X and finish his campaign, then go back to Zero

If the game has a bunch of alternate endings, sure. Even more so if there's a bunch of fun builds you can make. I've played this cute-dumb little game about six times now.

I can't imagine NOT replaying games. Like, there's not a single game world or set of game mechanics you want to re-experience? Whatever game you consider your favorite, you don't think is worth going through a second time? You'd rather trog through some 7/10 mediocre crap instead of just revisiting a 9/10 you really enjoyed?

Then again I have very particular tastes and I'm very selective, most games just aren't worth my time. If I start up a game and it doesn't immediately stand out, I'm most likely gonna drop it. Cause even though I basically stick to my favorites I still don't have nearly enough time to play everything I want

Also
>backlog is too huge and i have to burn through more games
Sounds like you don't even enjoy games if you want to be done them as soon as possible to tick them off a list like you're doing chores

What's the point if there's no way to play it better than you did before, it's just boring when there is no obstacles
