Once the novelty of real time battles wears off, there's no reason reason to play total war games any more, as much of their true focus is on a purely designed strategic layer. These games feel entirely superficial in their design and appeal, much like paradox. You're better off playing a game published by these guys

i can't get a campaign to go past turn 70. i just get so bored when i have to manage 100+ settlements AND a dozen armies AND skill-point allocations for every character. campaign fatigue happens so fast in this game.
they should honestly just remove the Reliability mechanic. it exists purely to fuck with the player, the AI never waits 10 turns after breaking treaties to declare war, so why should i be forced to?

Sort of. Slitherine is a publisher, not a studio. I linked their page because they're single handedly keeping real PC wargames alive (this is not a positive btw) and a lot of their stuff is on sale. Some day I hope they will get more popular so these awful companies like CA and Paradox will have to actually put in effort again, because all they really do is make games dumb and flashy enough for normalfaggots to play.

CA is lucky to still be in business after Hyenas even with the massive layoffs, publishers have shut down other developers for much smaller fuck ups. WH3 is just another casualty of CA's truly groundbreakingly retarded leadership's decision making and now the company needs to catch up on the truly absurd technical debt problem with their core engine and toolset, develop the next big title, AND try to pump out WH3 DLCs (which were already in hot water after severe quality decline and price spikes following a dogshit base game) all with a smaller team and less resources

chaos is the gayest and least interesting part of all of the Warhammer settings, it is truly unfortunate that it is always at the core of the story telling in all of them. warriors of chaos look cool but thats about it.

Chaos is the avatar of That Kid in the playground who always had some bullshit one up to every story you told or any game you played.
Every single time some author (always with daddy issues, For some fucking reason) makes a push for chaos, it’s always made the setting worse. Every single fucking time. And yes, I do blame the pivoting over compensation on the order side on chaos faggotry making it necessary.
It’s impressive in a meta way, I suppose, that chaos successfully ruins everything in the setting both inside and out

It's one of the most iconic parts of the setting while also being its worst part.
At least in 40K there's worst things than chaos around, but in FB it's the most obnoxious bullshit faction, with the least amount of development.
At least the skaven are funny
