Why did Nintendo bother releasing it at all? Why do they keep releasing these obvious internal training projects for money?
Anonymous No.718002878 >>718003765
Because people will buy them.
They realized that selling them piecemeal at low prices works better than shoving several together for full price.

It harms your reputation long term, they had this debate when they decided whether to cancel the sequel to 1 2 Switch because it tested THAT badly

Labo sold more than 99% of all AAA games released in the past 5 years, good enough

i miss the era where games like this would be viable and even popular. Now everything must be new entries or spinoff of popular franchises, or AAAslop

It's Arms 2.0: a glorified demo for their new gimmick.
Anonymous No.718005836
>>718001276 (OP)
It's a tech demo for double mouse mode.

>>718003765
I disagree. It's taking a risk, but it's overall not a bad gamble. If you only exploit your safe big projects, you end up stagnating.

>>718004995
Exactly. Both pilotwings were tech demos. Same as shit like excite truck.
Anonymous No.718005875
>>718003765
Why?
If it was put together earlier, it could go into something like a Wii sports bundle.

Without that, it could still be a nice game to pad your library and experience the gimmick..
Anonymous No.718005891
>>718004995
All of those games you mentioned were fun. This was a game where the gimmick was imagined first, pure waggleslop brained game design

>Furukawa genuinely thought that Crippleball has higher priority and is a better tech demo for the Joy-Con 2's mouse mode than FUCKING METROID PRIME 4
What is that RETARD doing outside of suing his own fanbase and sucking his own yen-covered micropenis along with his shareholders?
Anonymous No.718005984 >>718006161
>>718004046
>>718004995
The difference is that those were fun fleshed-out sport games (that were ACTUAL games) with plenty to do, meanwhile this is some paralympic shit where you play crippleball and nothing else because at its core it’s just a tech demo. Yea people want smaller games but that doesn’t mean they’re gonna eat up whatever you shit on their plate just because it fits the category. Bet you’re one of those types that defend demakes because people who want their forgotten series to be recognized should just accept their fav games getting butchered for recognition. Yes people want smaller experimental games and that’s what devs should do, but not like this

I didn't consider a bundle of games. Surely there's four or five more concepts for the Joycon 2 Mouse they can come up with to make a satisfying package.

>Nintendo noticed that people spend thousand of hours in games like Mario Kart, Splatoon, Smash, etc
>charges just 10 bucks more for them
Nintendo is actually smart and you're poor if you're crying over 10 bucks.
