Haven't seen a single cheater since 1.6 era (it was me) yet I play games daily

Most people have never actually seen a cheater and just think they have because they can't handle the fact that they suck at games.

This is due to stupid devs removing simple tools in games like votekicks and making everything matchmaking. Saw a blatant cheater the other day in CounterBlox and everyone just votekicked him.

I started going heavy into co-op & PVE games cause of try-hard meta chasing sweats in PVP anything. I gave the Battlefield beta a shot and I can't say how cancerous the non-cheating community will be post-release, but there's definitely cheaters in that beta.

video game devs are just pussyfootng around the nuclear solution that would actually stop like 90% of the cheating, which is region locking the more problematic areas to play by themselves. you will never be able to stop a dedicated chinese or a russian from cheating. they do it like their lives depend on it.

at the very least if your country doesn't actively punish cybercrime, then it shouldn't be allowed to play with those that do.

you may have, but you just haven't realized it. cheating culture has shifted towards non-obvious types of cheating, like ESP usage and gently guided aim assist. they will just accept losing instead of ragehacking too, so you'll have dudes cheating so they can be platinum instead of gold lol

sometimes they accidentally make it obvious to other players, but not in a way that can necessarily get them banned

just don't play multiplayer slop games then, that's what I do. Single player only with the only exceptions being single player games that have some online features like souls games, and even then I avoid the online elements most of the time.

afaik the vast majority of non-detected cheating now is done via paid subscription to some russian cheat dev. its one of the primary reasons why cheating has gotten so bad. casual cheaters and cheat devs have largely given up on trying to beat modern anti-cheat, because while it doesn't completely stop cheating, it makes it very annoying.

however these third world cheat devs are getting paid to do it so they don't care if it's annoying, and in a way the increasingly gay anti-cheat that filters 90% of noob cheat devs is what allows them to make a living on it. and the cheaters themselves often make 3 dollars an hour boosting noobs and so on. countries like russia have an entire industry propped around cheating, smurfing and account buying.

I buy all my games on GOG. I play mostly singleplayer games. I play multiplayer games only with my friends. Have not encountered cheaters ever.
