Yes they do
If you're decent at the game you can keep cycling drafts and end up getting way more packs with your gold than if you just bought them directly

If you use all your common and uncommon wildcards to craft as many cards of that rarity in a set before drafting, every one of those you draft will give you faster vault progress, which means more rare/mythic wildcards off vault, packs off wins, and continuing to draft if you win, note that you need to be very good if you're also raredrafting because you're gimping yourself out of drafting optimally.

you will also probably be able to just spam jump in for any ub sets since they refused to let the FF one exist in the same space as the others, which also has a chance of giving you specific mythics
