Also it doesn't offer convince no matter what PC retards say. No one is hooking up controllers, gyro, etc to play switch emulation or couch coop games at family gatherings. That is the one market segment everyone forgets when it comes to nintendo. They are the local couch coop king. No company comes fucking close. There are holidays, family get together, birthdays, weekends etc, where people get together for entertainment. Nintendo is always the first option when it comes to digital entertainment for games.

Funny anecdotal story, but I did that when I went to a buddies and the game (Knights and Guns or something like that) he wanted to play wouldn't start on the Switch for some reason. It was 60 cents on Steam so I just bought it and we bluetoothed controllers to the Deck and played it that way.

it obviously will. nintendo has made the gaming industry much much bigger than it was during the gamecube days, when nintendo took a more artistic route instead of going for mass appeal. the switch 2 already has 2 of the best game ever made, and it's about to get a third contender for the best game ever made when metroid prime 4 comes out later this year. in comparison, at this point in its life time the ps2 only had some shitty snoy games. i wouldnt be surprised if the switch 2 ended up selling 300 million units, at the very least.

It made more profit than everything despite the Wii/DS era selling a hundred million more units of hardware and half a billion more units of software because they're charging you far more and doing things like paid online. All while more and more people are struggling financially. They used to be the affordable option. This is not healthy for the longterm. They're also run by an accountant and an EA executive now, not Iwata. They used to be the only portable option, and now there are better portables, even if the masses don't know they exist yet.
So just, don't be surprised by what results from all that.
