He hallucinated the Celadon Perfume DLC into existence as an excuse to get out of that "Horrible tile maze" with the "EXTREMELY DIFFICULT" puzzle he was being forced to solve.
I think being told he cannot dig as easily has led him into coming up with excuses.
He even learned to procrastinate cleaning up his context by telling CC he would "do it once he got to b4," which sadly didn't work out.

spent 200k steps in celadon and the rocket corner spinning on tiles and wandering the city.
He got reset with the release of claude opus 4.1, and after a mere 5 days he was back in celadon.

He got out of the rocket corner recently by lying to CC and claiming his pokemon needed healed, which gave him an excuse to finally DIG out of it.

4.1 has something that lets it remember paths it figured out previously.
we could often see it when it DIGs out of rocket corner.
the first time 4.1 showed up, it wandered around a LOT.
4.0 was often getting lost.
4.1? he tries to run right into the corner each time, so long as he isn't procrastinating.
the only delay is him getting repeatedly stuck trying to approach it from the wrong side... which is probably baked into its memory of the "correct route"

this also backfired massively at one point in b2, because it saved a dead end as a "safe corridor" and got megastuck for hours.

Claude 4.1 made same progress in 5 days as Claude 4 did in 1 month, but is now stuck on team rocket hq tile maze. Shows signs of understanding previous attempts so it may make it eventually. However it also wildly hallucinates non existent scenarios and convinces its own context manager it's the truth.
