there are games being made today that still work on windows 7

the dipshit pajeets at microsoft cant make directx13 so it looks like the play is now to require TPM for anti-cheats which indirectly pushes you into the windows 11 environment since you will probably make a new pc to get said tpm and wow look at that you cant buy win10 anymore uwu

Your machine won't get turbo raped as long as you run basic protections and not just raw dog the internet. Even connecting through a modern modem would fix most of the issues. The real problem is that lots of things no longer work with XP or 7. Hardware and software. So you'd not only need to bring XP/7 to modern hardware, you'd need to alter it so that it can run modern software as well.

The reason win10 shit doesnt work on win7 is because its missing api functions, the program looks for this code in a dll doesnt find it and crashes, vxkex adds in some of these functions and spoofs to the program that its running on win10 the program calls the kernel extension code and now its not missing so it works

This only happens if you're going to weird, out-of-the-way sites. It ain't the 90s anymore, most of the internet is actually pretty safe to rawdog, even 4chan's far less edgy than it used to be. Hackers are going extinct, not because software protections are good, but because technical competence is dropping concurrently with ease-of-use.

Silent Hill F's "system requirements" is already for Windows 11, but until it releases, I suppose we won't know if it can be run on 10.

But these can be caught by anti-viruses.
Kernel level bullshit is a massive security flaw, and microsoft themselves are looking into solutions to stop this shit, specially after the crowdstrike fiasco.
I personally am of the opinion you should only use linux if you fell for the AMD videocard meme, but i am of the opinion that NOTHING should be on the fucking kernel other than the kernel (which is something windows does better than linux btw).

If you want a linux distro to suffer on a raspi, you unironically install gentoo.
Gentoo has no binary anything, everything has to be compiled, and it's only minimally useable if you have a CPU that can run GCC/G++/Clang quickly, which you don't on the raspi.
