The Splatoon fags were allowed to have running threads for years with no issue, same goes for smash fags, and right now fire emblem fags have a pseudo general running.
You've got an AI general, famitsu sales general, amateur game dev general,
Dead or alive, yu gi oh, other gacha games, and so on and so forth all have reoccuring pseudo generals with far less traffic than these uma threads which are pumping out 4-5 threads hitting bump limit per day. It's organic discussion about a video game. Why is it allowed for other games but not this one? Oh right "cultural phenomena", that was the explanation for why certain games are allowed to be talked about over others.
It doesn't make any sense. You have ONE thread about a video game and you're never allowed to talk about it again? What's the time limit? Why is it not enforced across the site? Why are straight up AI generals allowed to happen when they're not even video games?

Well then move it to /vg/. What difference would an AI general on /vg/ be than an AI general on /v/?
This is not a general. People just want to discuss a popular game. The Dall-E thread is a general, and yet it's alllowed for bullshit reasons. Jannies can't play favorites. You either enforce it sitewide, or you don't at all. They can keep deleting as many video game threads as they want. The game is so popular that somebody will make a new one. It's pointless to try and stifle it.
