I like Digimon as much as the next guy but come on.
It's
>idle
>signature
>second signature for some mon
>basic attack
>basic skill
And that's is, critical use regular hit effects without changing, buffs and debuffs use the basic skill animation and dot "animations" are just one frame.
And when you say "every" Digimon you're not considering how many of those are recolors that use the same animations, I mean we already know that Agumon black, Gabumon black and their respective evos, Solarmon, Coredramon Blue, IceDevimon, BlackGatomon, Meteormon, BlueMeramon and their counterparts are in so they're already reusing more animation than pokemon can.
Just for comparisons sake pokemon usually has
>idle with the occasional action
>physical attack
>physical 2
>special attack
>special 2
>buff
>faint
That's also not including those unique animations some pokemon might have.
Not to mention just about every move has its own unique visual effect something like Wolkenapalm 1 will have the same effect as 3.
>The comparison is made because Pokemon shouldn't ever lose to Digimon in this regard given the difference in size between the two franchises
The problem is rarely ever loses but people like you won't ever admit to that.
