Deus Ex thread
Recently finished it. What's the best ending and why it's Dark Age?
Anonymous No.718043387 >>718045627
I pick Helios because it's the only thing humanity has not seen before

Play Invisible War before you start talking about "best ending"

That shit is non-canon at this point. Weird idea to merge all 3 endings.
Also post JCs

>play Invisible War
no, I played 1 and Human Revolution and pretend the series was sunset gracefully instead of the unique IP hell it exists in now

Why are Gunther (german) and Yelena (russian) working for an american agency like UNATCO?

United Nations ATCO
It's not an American agency, it just has it's HQ in the US.

I am playing Deus Ex The Conspiracy right now.
Just cleared the Paris catacombs, enjoying the game so far, but the game peaked in Hell's Kitchen imo.

>ching chong herro jc! it's me! tracer tong!
>i thought you'd rearry like some updates that distract you from your objective
>you rike trivia about catacombs?
>now prease destroy everything
Tong is a clingy gf that wants you to destroy your life for her even if it means everyone else is miserable. Fucking yellow nigger bastard.

Also, what are your thoughts on the Vanilla? Madder mod?

Deus Ex really was ahead of its time

I mean, it was the same back then, so it's not really "ahead of it's time" and more "ahead of the curve" in calling it out.

I just played it for the first time so I went vanilla. Do you guys recommend revision or others for replays?

I still like Invisible War. Thief Deadly Shadows I mostly consider living up to 1 and 2 despite being a shrunken console shell because it ties the story up so well and has so many good moments that it's easy to imagine the exact same game in good Thief form. Invisible War that absolutely isn't the case, but I still love it as goofy as it is. I would be happier with the state of the world if we had more Invisible War-tier pseudo RPG shooters out there. Actually a recent good one is Terminator Resistance for some low budget but incredibly enjoyable jankino which scratches a very similar itch to Invisible War now that I'm considering it

I like triggering the dark age ending as soon as you get to the reactors with a glitch.

It's the same logic as Shepard becoming one with the Reapers. Might go well at first but his loss of humanity will make him become another cold evil machine.

I actually fucking love Revision, just make sure you turn off the horrendous "HD models". Also just in case you didn't lean into it during your first vanilla run, I highly recommend trying a dragon sword focused JC at some point. Absolute shitton of fun with speed augs and shit

>you get to choose between playing the entire DLC campaign with either your screen glitching out every 30 seconds, or an ugly, blurry vaseline filter over the whole thing
Criminal Past has always been insanely overrated and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
