The gacha has always been where they've been really experimental, throwing in shit like fairies and giant mecha guns. They're probably dying to bring that slop into the mainline but thankfully Engage probably made rethink putting anymore elements from FEH into the main games.

I'd love a FEH mainline. FEH tends have a lot of cool character and story concepts brought up that just fall flat. I just wish IS could get a little bit better at writing.
Hopefully they wouldn't use skill texts that get to be 10 pages long, however.

The power creep might be kind of silly. But on the upside the characters and effects more interesting than ever before now that characters have effectively two to three times as many effects if not more sometimes. Makes for interesting characters.

I would be fine with IS making a console tier game that draws upon FEH but it shouldn't be a Fire Emblem game in name.
Literally every other aspect can be like Fire Emblem, jsut give it its own name and if it works have it be either a sister series or a successor series.

I can tell you right now that FEH has virtually nothing else going for it other than being the husk of the best gameplay of the entire series it used to be till powercreep rotted the fuck out of the game.

The story is garbage and you're rolling for 4 PNGs per character where two are recycled at minimum.
