I was barely able to beat it as a wylder and it was a super difficult fight, especially with
props to fromsoft for sticking with the madness philosophy for this boss but I never wanna fight this everdark ever again

This fight's not too bad for a ranged class, but it's basically impossible for melee since you always have five-thousand adds chasing you

Maybe it's just the first impressions, but the only other boss who gave me this much trouble was ED Adel, it's also similar with how quickly things get messy.
I really liked his gimmick with how he forces his deals on you.

By that point it feels that you have to put him down quickly, regardless fun and chaotic fight.

Is he? I'm going to try again but I just had a match where me and some bitch Revenant that refused to listen to any calls won against him even though our Wylder quit after the second boss. She might have been cheating though since her ping was so fucked up I couldn't see what she was doing half of the time but the boss HP gradually got lower as I was shooting him with Iron eye and applying marks. I think I'm going to try again with another character

I thought he was a joke in solo, so duo is probably pretty easy too. The condemned's HP scales up massively when you have a full team, on top of there being three of them per summon.

Yeah, in general the only everdark boss that was actually challenging for me was the weird scorpion thing with the moth, it also happened to be the worst fight in the entire game if you ask me. I see people bitching in the steam discussions about every single everdark though, people were saying fucking everdark Augur was bullshit even though its the easiest fight in the game

Ignore the NPCs as much as you can and try to burst him down, you can't reliably fight them because latency and them spot dodging attacks makes it almost impossible to land solid blows and merk them before he summons new ones.

Exactly what I said as soon as I figured out the mechanic on the second fight. I would have won against him in the first try if I managed to figure out that I can charge the sword instead of just swinging it. As soon as I figured it out it was so easy that I had 5 estus flasks left when me and 2 randoms killed it.

he has some new attacks and behavior. he pretty much keeps summoning gank invaders while doing other shit

>you now have an infinite number of flasks for one minute, but each flask decreases a level

I wouldn't say you're in the minority from my impression, he seems to be rathar divisive rathar than hated like Augur was.
I really like his gimmick of constantly applying different types of buffs/debuffs, and the invader aspect especially helps amplify this.
Though the issue of those disappointed seems to be related to:
-Nightfarer invaders instead of a unique enemy.
-Lack of new moves for Libra, which is fair I guess, since every ED seems to get compared to ED Fulghor in that aspect and Libra won't be an exception.

I honestly think it's a neat gimmick they have given ED Libra, I wish Maris/Augur had a game changing gimmick like this instead of just Stormruler.
