I'd love to believe this but after the 02 movie and Survive it's hard to argue for it, Time Stranger seems to be a massive step in the right direction however

it started out fine, but things quickly got dire when the studio they got working on it bit off more than it could chew, leading to them switching to another company halfway and restarting development from scratch with a much smaller scope (e.g. scrap the survival aspect, decisions in fights don't affect the story, scrapped skullgreymon evo, takuma going off the rails and agumon refusing to go along with it)

Survive was a great idea with botched execution. A dark survival adventure with a partner who talks to you and evolves based on how you behave in the game? Sounds incredible on paper. Even the SRPG part could have been great if it had been like, SRW or Fire Emblem style.
