Maybe, if they go with young Pauline. But I feel like Sakurai would go with adult Pauline as a newcomer and add elements of her Bananza counterpart if there was a Smash 6.

2B, Mai Shiranui, Chun-Li, Jill Valentine, KOS-MOS, Lip, Adeleine, Dixie Kong, Tinkaton, Pauline, Saki Amamiya, and Ring Fit Trainee should be playable. Smash needs more female characters and sex appeal. Plus, they need more porn and I'm sure their inclusions will prevent boys from becoming homosexuals.

I agree. I definitely feel like 2B has a chance of getting in. She's everywhere. Mai Shiranui will be in but I just know Sakurai is going to use the leather outfit. As for Dixie Kong, she might be a echo fighter of Diddy Kong.

Nta but Pauline's moveset would likely be made up just like how Ultimate Ganondorf is purely canon. Waluigi should realistically be put in over her both because a moveset that actually makes sense could be put together, and he has more demand. At least Pauline is better than fucking piranha plant.

Honestly, the only thing that's girlbossy about her is being a mayor with a suit, and I'll chalk that as Nintendo wanting her to have a "leader of a kingdom" role similar to the other princesses. She doesn't think she's better than Mario or doesn't need him. In fact, she shows a lot of love and appreciation for him even after he broke up with her some time ago.

It's funny to think that there was a time where it was acceptable to design a completely different character and say it's the same person. If they suddenly changed Pauline where the only thing she has in common is a red dress there'd be an uproar, but people in the 90s seemed to not care. You don't even see much fanart of the og Pauline despite the arcade game being such a big hit.

She's just built that way.

Wouldn't it have been simpler to say she was proto-Peach and she wears a different outfit in the Mario vs DK games? I don't think very many people would say that "lady was a different character" if they used Peach in 94 instead.

I think that a Smash from 0 is the only possibility after Ultimate, they cant reply the amount of characters they put in Ultimate so i think for Smash 6 they are going to rework the iconic characters, making them basicallly new characters and adding completely new ones that never were in the series before, but without topping Ultimate numbers

I don't think it would have to be very elaborate. Most story narratives in that time period were told in instruction manuals, and Zelda's in particular was a whole essay. They could've written an explanation on why Peach was dressed as a commoner in one scenario and a princess in another scenario without showing you anything on screen. I mean, Mario back then kept flip flopping different settings and scenarios that seemed to have no connection to each other, so why not his girlfriend?

I’m pretty disappointed that my recording of the first session of candid gameplay for the beginning of the game got fucked up. Probably going to wipe my file so I can record everything from the beginning in its entirety this time, but it won’t be the same since I already know what to do…..

More likely they'll just pair her with the new DK, and implement some of her singing to the fighting.

The more I think about it, having Lady = Peach would make more sense just by the lost articles alone. Pauline doesn't even use an umbrella, she even has someone else covering her instead while Peach uses a parasol all the time. But then you wouldn't have a 4th Mario girl, so whatever.

I wouldn't be against it. Her move set would be music based, plus she's hot so sure.
