Anons praise this games character creator, but the options sure are limited. Yes, you have tons of options for cosmetics and silly hats. But in terms of body types, there is not much. Every guy will be the same slim anime guy of limited height and mass. Every girl will be this medium-height, slim anime girl with either medium-small or medium-big tits. And nothing to customize ass or thighs, for instance.

People typically praise the options moreso than the baseline, there's really very little games with anywhere near that level of accessory options or face customisation for example. Even the height adjustment is a rare thing, especially when it's all tied to an action game and not something like Koikatsu. The height differences are also like a full head and a half difference, while the body width can be stick or chubby girl.

Too much variance in possible body types = either much more work or much sloppier hitboxes for example.
That's why you're usually limited to some 10% maybe 15% variation* in various sizes.
Numbers are pulled out of my ass but the point is you can't make a 1.2m tall dwarf like char and also 2.5m tall one.
