I upgraded my PC somewhat recently, well a bit less than a year ago and I decided to try W11. There was serious stuttering issues in some games to the point where they froze and had to turn off the pc, and I was sitting here testing all the components and seeing which one was faulty, then it hit me, it wasn't my shit's fault, but rather W11 was fucked.
Months later I saw that the W11 build I was broken. Surely it will be fixed now, but I'm still angry

Nah, in the late 2000s and early 2010s more and more games/studios/publishers were pushing for their own account systems, one-time codes, clients, limited installs, etc., it wasn't all on Steam.
