Ill be honest as a cod guy and only played a handful of other BF games. I have no idea why there is hype around this game. It doesn't feel next gen or spectacular at all to me. Wasnt that the appeal of BF in comparison to cod the grand nature of the battle, the destruction, sound design, immersion etc? I see none of that here. Graphics look ok, sound design is ok, destruction is ok I guess. Older battlefields like V and 1 had all of that and they released years ago. I had more fun with 2042 and that felt more next gen and unique with the classes, tornados, sandstorms, etc. I dunno maybe someone can tell me

Portal is BF's Forge (as per Halo) mode where you are supposed to be able tinker with the environment, settings, move assets around and even use code to do it all within a separate UI. Portal was introduced in 2042 but you could not really do much outside altering game modes and settings like weapons used etc. Apparently you can even just do a top down shooter if you want so great flexibility. Will will have to se tho wehter they are hyping it up and it will not just be a dud.

It's not the same at all. The game has no fucking airfields. The jets spawn in the sky. The jets are fucking slow, and the flight models are beyond ace combat tier. You can't roll helicopters full 360 degrees xyz in place. There are no commanders. Vehicles regenerate health and ammo. The jets spawn in the sky. Knives and grenades aren't weapons that force you to change your stance. I'm sure you can't enter the 1/4 (or more) of the other side of the map with the uncap either. The game is simply one dimensional.

night and day difference. movement isnt as spastic, you dont have people flying/ziplining all over the map getting everywhere instantly, no more identical clones shooting at each other, upgraded destruction, no more overcrowded maps trying to push 128 players marketing gimmick, destruction is way better this time around, no gimmicky levelution events (so far). vehicles dont endlessly rain from the sky all match either.
