alright explain this wplace shit to me
what's going on and why do people care, to me it's like when people used to post those reddit links about a painted map or whatever 8 years ago

it's exactly like that reddit stuff you mention >what's going on
funny pixel placement 'game' that anyone can play >why do people care
sense of belonging to a group, for the weird freaks it's a way to virtue signal to their fellow freaks

This is exactly the same thing but >the background is a map of the earth >you know who placed what pixel so you can harass them if they draw something you don't like >defacing others' artwork is forbidden, likely to protect the astronomically high amount of trans flags on the canvas >you can't draw characters with large breasts - mods will remove them >you can't draw childish characters - mods will remove them and ban you >in addition to trans flags, deltatroon characters are everywhere >certain colors are locked behind engagement points

Why is it every few years a new fandom arises that makes everything insufferable for everyone else until it get to the point where everyone online hates them? Furries, My Little Pony, Homestuck, Steven Universe etc. What is it about them that drives people in these fandoms to be so incredibly obnoxious. You can't even say it's autism because the Sonic fandom somehow isn't even this bad.

it's a combination of homosexuality + autism. sonic was too niche to have this problem. mlp was very borderline gay but not quite imo. People attribute more brony crossover with furries than in actuality.
The other fandoms you mention can't go 5 seconds without saying "Protect trans kids!"
