This series' artstyle really didn't transition well into modern style.

Even when they transition into gacha they still take ages to actually finish.
Look at Heaven Burns Red. You'd think that the problem was VNs weren't profitable and that's why updates and finishing a story take so long but in reality it's because the writers are so shit at doing their jobs. HBR is only on chapter 5 after years and years of being launched.
This is also why Muv-Luv will never succeed. The writers won't finish the fucking main story they wanted do with the sequel to Alternative.

I have not kept up with this franchise since total eclipse. Is this a gacha spin off soft reboot? I thought they were making a sequel to alternative. Maybe they are using this to fund the sequel.
