They've been around ever since social media sites existed. I first saw "trigger warnings" on livejournal. They next got big on tumblr, which is where I saw all the gender shit. They were whining and trying to gain power but most games were still male led. After 2015 is the big change when they were mostly majority female devs making female led games.

Ye but then Trump won in 2016 and they completely lost their marbles. Right now they're watching clothing ads and pissing themselves over "nazi propaganda". What you see since 2016 is them going full on insanity and pushing their koolaid onto more and more people, which culminated with the 2024 elections.
