He never talks about a successor or dynasty line. A guy like him should at least have several children all indoctrinated into his worldview and beliefs yet he never speaks of it. Even when you get into his inner circle or ask his favorite lieutenants and bodyguards they don’t mention. Does he just expect to live forever, not die of old age?

It's the dictator's curse. They hate the idea of successors, and he doesn't have any children. The game outright says that Lanius succeeds him and leads the Legion if Caesar dies.

The problem is that Caesar low key is saying the mythology of the Legion is just some bullshit used to bind people into a functional unit, but Lanius completely buys into the mythology as the truth.

Roman aristocracy relied heavily on adoption and tying their protégés to family ties through contract, not blood. "Muh birthright" was Frankish/Germanic bullshit that became entrenched in post Roman feudal Europe. East Rome kept this tradition alive (right to rule comes from the Law of the State, not blood) which is why they kept their adoptions and intrigue.
It's likely that he would have adopted the Courier as his heir.

Lanius is his designated successor. I don't think he believes in dynastic or inherited succession. Other people portray Lanius as a dumb brute with none of Caesar's intellect or charisma but your only interaction with him undermines that assessment.

I feel like Caesar keeps the existence of his kids hidden to anyone who isn’t Lucius, Vulpes or Lanius and those three agree to a strict vow of silence on it. And Caesars kids blend in as normal legionaries and unless they rise in rank, show ambition, strength and resourcefulness he couldn’t care less about them. He probably watches them or asks if they’re making progress but ultimately just waits. He doesn’t want potential enemies to know of an heir or that hes given an heir special treatment away from the military life and in the arms of a pampered existence.

Fuck your shit premise, why did Magic give Caesar hair? They know he’s supposed to be completely bald, right? The white outline ingame is just because the Bethesda never had programmed bald options. House even makes fun of him by saying you can’t find a hair on his head.

The Legion has not yet become the entity he desires. If he dies while it is in this state, I doubt he much cares about the inheritance of a roving army. If he gets the "synthesis" he desires and the Legion undergoes a metamorphosis into an actual society, I'm sure he'll start caring about it more.
