I'm being sincere. Mickey Mouse was drawn and even voiced by Walt Disney (with help from Ub Iwerks but that's not the point) yet he's free from the disgusting miasma modern furfags have in their art. Tom and Jerry, among other cartoon animals, were created by Bill Hanna and Joseph Barbera and yet they look perfectly fine. Even outside of America this is true: David Cherkassky of the Soviet Union made a bunch of talking animals for his adaptation of Doctor Aybolit (Russian Doctor Dolittle) but none of them look like weird fetish trash like what furfags shit out. I can go on for a while, but the point is that, when it comes to designing talking animals, there are two camps: normal people and braindead furries. I am in the camp of normal people (my characters are muscular because they are heroic in nature and fatties cannot exist in my fantasy medieval setting where you have to hunt, fish, or murder to eat) whereas someone degenerate like Toby Fox fits into that other camp (remember So Sorry and the shitstorm that conjured up?).
Anyway, that is why I hope to live in a world where degenerates disappear. Don't even get me started on the bug-eyed people who fetishize works for children and said works' audience; that's a whole different tier of abominable.

Same here. I was surprised at how good it is. Feels like it was made by somebody who understands the idea of Stalker (the gameplay part) perfectly and distilled it into all killer no filler type game with some extras. Shit I liked especially:

Played 20 hours and completed every single quest that existed.
It's pretty good for the 20 hours of content or so that's in. It got a bit repetitive towards the end hour mark with most enemies feeling samey.
Mutants are boring aside from the poltergeist orb, all humanoid MUH spooky monsters, though I like the weird human robots that shout advertisements.
Anomalies are fun and creative.
Dislike the lack of hands, it nags at my autism.
Dislike the artstyle in general.
Like the atmosphere.
Like the guns, but would prefer it not be gun progressing into gun+silencer etc. I'd love it if it was modular.
Artefacts are so-so.

The dev's gone on record saying they don't want modular gear crafting in their game.
They want "here's an exact copy of your old helmet, but it has a HUD and a taclight too" to be an exciting find for players.

I mean it kiiiiinda achieves it's goal, I was hoping to find a helmet that had a hud and nv with every single chest, but I ended up using my combo of hud helmet and separate nv goggles when it gets dark until the end of the content.
But it just also feels kind of bad in a way to have this cool gun you like but there is no set of attachments that pleases your autism.

i put 80 hours into this game before the last few patches. it's pretty fun to figure out. once you figure it out it gets pretty uninteresting, though. i'm waiting until it is hugely changed before i play again. was worth the purchase just for the initial learning curve, though.

i recommend not asking for help or looking up spoilers. some of the puzzles are pretty cool.

I'm fine with it conceptually, since vanilla STALKER does something similar. ShoC had a lot of cool moments in the early-midgame because you'd be lucky to have any utility with your gear.
Shit like getting caught with your pants down by bandits while wearing your anti-anomaly gear or having to choose between your mid-range gun with a flashlight or your long-range gun with a scope in a night fight.
The longer a game throws you around in hobomode the more meaningful a straight upgrade gets. Right now this game doesn't have anything good for an endgame, but this is the first major update so there's lots of room to get back up into ADACA territory.

The game still needs a shit ton of work. There's a lot of bonehead design decisions.

Fuck, the last one is especially ridiculous because the game is supposed to be heavily inspired by Stalker. You never mixed factions up in Stalker because all their gear had designs unique to their factions that made them easily identifiable. You'd never mistake a loner stalker for a military grunt, you'd never mistake a bandit for a merc, and you'd never mistake a monolith stalker for a member of Duty because they all had unique designs and colors. Here, most of the factions look just like each other with the only identifying marks being colored bands wrapped around their upper arms and helmets.

I need a mod that lets you adjust how many hours day and night takes up in the day. Would love to do a playthrough where there's more night than day.

I chose to have talking animals in my game because I find them to make more interesting characters than humans. While Humans exist in the Fygooniverse as creatures of myth, they are not in the forefront of the story; I wasn't going to make some trash like Dragon Quest where the dragons only exist in name and get sidelined by some tranime "men".
Now, even though I like talking animals, I never will associate with those weirdos. I don't mind dressing as an animal for something like Halloween or to promote a product as a mascot, but when you begin to dress like one all the time and live a delusional life then it's a problem. On the topic of your picture, have you ever seen Le Roman de Renard by Vladislav Starevich? It's a very fascinating film and one of the earliest works of stop motion. I would love to adapt my own story with stop motion puppets, but I need to make the game first before I can think of more lofty goals; then again, stop motion puppets aren't really popular in theaters so I'd be more than content with a stop motion paper puppet adaptation.

I think it's cool that this games backstory is about Humanity being the "mysterious precursor race" that created all the other races that inherited the world after Humanity died out. The fact that it's a bunch of furry races doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Also one of the enemies you fight are long dead corpses animated with technology that constantly plays radio adverts and that's pretty fucking rad.
