I installed viva new vegas in less than 30 minutes without a premium account. I looked at the other modlists, and they're all bloated, so I don't think I'll use it again. Still, great piece of software.

It only works on a updated windows build, any debloated or LTSC versions won't even launch it because these brainlets rely on some MS backend stuff. A good reason to never touch it and just make your own modlists.

Nordic Souls is pretty stable, good looking, and has a fair amount of content. If you want a "power fantasy" list I would suggest Lost Legacy or Tempus Maledictum. If you want the autist delight super suite go for Lorerim. Nordic Souls 3.0 beta you have to go through discord to download manually into Wabbajack which is a pain in the ass, but it's worth it.

I have probably played a combined total of 1,000 hours of various pre-compiled Skyrim modlists from WJ and Nexus

Your average big mod list needs a lot of custom patching just to be considered featured.

If you go on the Discord servers for these lists, there’s a huge amount of bug reports and ongoing bug fixing.

I used to build my own 1k+ mod list, but let’s be realistic some mod packs are just way better than what an average person could build on their own. Unless you really want to learn xEdit and the Creation Kit (which maybe you should), you’re better off using one of the packs and then learning the tools by modifying it.
