I recently made a Ventrue character named Selene. The one and only time I played I was a Malk, so this is gonna be weird.

I gave the game a shot and it's boring as fuck, basically just an running simulator and combat is literally, literally about spamming MMB and scrolling your wheel to activate special abilities. I'd rather have prebuffing like in Pathfinder games than this shit. Finishing Saint Monica and dealing with the painting quest etc felt like a hassle too, the reward was some cringey dialogue and a twist you saw coming a mile away. Worst part is that you need to be in a specific clan to fuck. Then I did a sewer quest in the new city and got zero rewards, no lore, no items, nothing

Also communist vampires? Really nigga? What are they gonna do? Seize the means of production?

Basically the game is mid at best by 2010 standards, downright awful by 2025

Yeah I agree OP it's a great one. It was based on a horror tabletop RPG and the developers themselves also consider it a horror game despite what some might tell you.

Those were the days when they weren't afraid to put sexy chicks front and center of all the marketing even when they only appeared for like 5-10 minutes total in the actual game.

I never had as much of a problem with the sewers or the tower. It wasn't as good but the former is an old and a little spooky place to explore and the latter can work as a power trip. I disliked Society the most probably.

I never understood why people say the Ocean House Hotel is the scariest shit ever. It was fun and atmospheric, but I didn't feel dread, unlike with the Shalebridge Cradle.
