Seriously how do I stop doing this? I hit a record with Cyberpunk, have a 40 hour save going and my interest is starting to fade. I know that if I stop playing it for 1 week I'll never play it again. FUCK

do you just play 1 game for 20 hours? maybe try switching games every other day.

Figure out whatever problem in real life you're trying to mask with video games so you can actually enjoy video games instead of just using them to fill a void.

just force yourself to open the game, that's literally it. if after at least 30 minutes in you still feel like it's shit, just drop it and play something else.
there are hundreds of thousands of games to play out there

I've had this problem too. I think mostly interest in hobby is just fading, but I feel like just diversifying my hobbies has helped.
Started painting 40k minis and working out a lot more

I'm kind of a sucker for MMORPGs but I can never remain interested in them for long enough to progress significantly into the game (that'd take thousands of hours)

After ~100 hours of MMORPGs I get tired and get an itch for a single player game. Then I get tired of the single player game after 20 hours which is rarely enough to finish one. I am about to drop cybeprunk and go back to OSRS.

Why do I keep sabotaging myself
