Why are the maps so small

Too many chefs in the kitchen, every map probably had to go through 12 different people from varying backgrounds (who don't play games or have a fucking clue) before they got greenlit for release.

I tried Battlefield 3 before the servers went down on PS3 and holy shiet, those were the sweatiest, most bitchless, group of losers I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’m never playing Battlefield ever again and I’d much rather spend my time on some stupid shiet like Atelier. No need to raise my blood pressure at my age

People say Battlefield has capitulated to the cod crowd, but if you've ever played BF1/BFV, players overwhelmingly vote for the close quarters shitfests and I hate it. BF1 has like 25+ maps and its always Argonne, Ballroom Blitz, Sinai and Fort Vaux. Pisses me off when there's amazing maps like Nivelle Nights.
